Eg: I kept the mass of the plastecine the same (6.3g) for each trial. This is because when the plastercine is of a greater mass for one trial, it will increase the diameter of the splat for that trial since there is more plastercine. By keeping the mass consistent for each trial the measurement of the splat is more accurate.

e.g. I kept the force of the drop for each trial consistent for every trial by only dropping the plastercine ball and not using any extra force like throwing it. This was important because when extra force is used, the diameter of the splat will become larger than expected for that trial. By keeping the force of the drop consistent for each trial, the measurement of the splat size will be consistent and accurate.
